We offer the best of Moalboal diving, we have a PADI 5* rated dive center on site with daily boats going to the different dive sites. We keep our groups small and the majority of our Divemasters are also trained PADI instructors.
Our boats leave in the morning for two dives returning to the resort for lunch. In the afternoon we can offer one or two dives depending on guest choices letting you see the best of Moalboal Diving even during a short stay.
If you have never been scuba diving before, but always wanted to discover the underwater world, you can learn scuba diving with us. Our PADI instructors would be thrilled to share their passion with you.
We visit all of the 19 dive sites in Moalboal, including Pescador Island, as well as to dive sites like Badian Island, Sunken Island and as far away as day trips to Sumilon Island by special request for both divers and snorkelers alike.
Moalboal Diving – Blue Orchid House Reef
Our House reef is one of the best things about Moalboal Diving, just a short step from the resort it is truly stunning. You can easily find: Ornate Ghost Pipe Fish, Frogfish, Tuna, Juvenile Crocodile Fish, Pygmy SeaHorses amongst others on our House Reef.
Our House Reef can be dived at any time of the day with or without a guide, just rent some tanks from the dive center if you want to head out on your own and explore the Blue Orchid House Reef.
Moalboal Diving – PADI dive training courses.
We offer the full range of PADI courses from our on site dive center. With our 2.2m dive training pool meaning you can undertake the confined water training of your PADI course which offers a more relaxed diving experience than going directly into the sea to either do a first time diving experience or undertake your PADI confined Open Water training.

Moalboal Diving – PADI e-learning courses
As a PADI 5 star dive centre, we offer the full range of PADI e-learning courses so you can undertake the online theory part of the course from the comfort of home.
Please follow this link to sign up for PADI elearning with the Blue Orchid Resort and follow the on screen instructions. Undertaking the elearning at home saves time in resort and allows you to spend less time in resort doing your dive course and more time in the water having fun and diving Moalboal.
Students who have completed the theory in advance via PADI elearning will be able to jump straight into the pool with one of our PADI instructors to start their dive training immediately once enrollment paperwork has been completed.
Moalboal Diving - Frequently asked questions
To join the regular fun diving boat schedule with the resort you would need to have a diving certification with a relevant diving organization. If you are not PADI certified, please bring along your certification card.
Yes absolutely, the more the merrier however during very busy times preference is given to our in house resort guests. It is possible to rent a private boat and equipment from us including a guide, just contact us or drop us an email to let us know what you would like to do.
Yes, absolutely. Our certified PADI scuba instructors will be delighted to introduce you to the underwater world for a Discover Scuba Diving experience. You will first learn the basic skills needed in a pool session to get used to the equipment, before taking you to the open sea to experience your first dive.

Yes, absolutely. Our house reef is very convenient for night dives to discover the nocturnal activity of the ocean. The sea looks very different at night. You can expect to see bioluminescent plankton, cuttlefish, sleeping turtles, shrimps, crabs, etc.
If you own your own scuba diving gear, you are welcome to bring it. If not, it is possible to rent the equipment in our dive shop.
In general, our boat leaves around 9h30 for 2 dives in the morning and we organise afternoon or night dives on request. Our schedule is very flexible and is adapted to the conditions and guest requests.
Sure, we accept certified divers from other associations. Just bring your proof of certification from your organisation with you before
